Vikash Kalra

Vikash Kalra is a self-taught artist, celebrated for his fluid, abstract paintings and sculptures that explore complex themes with profound emotional depth. Drawing inspiration from masters like Pablo Picasso and F. N. Souza, Kalra’s work reflects a synthesis of modernist influences and personal introspection. His work possesses a “subliminal quality” that bridges the past and present, capturing the remnants of an inescapable yet forgiven history. Despite these heavy themes, an underlying sense of hope emerges through his emotive brushstrokes and sculpted forms, offering viewers liberation and self-reflection. By seamlessly translating this abstract fluidity into both two- and three-dimensional mediums, Kalra delivers a powerful, cohesive narrative that stands out in the contemporary art world.
