Santosh Morajkar

Santosh Morajkar was a contemporary Goan artist whose practice contributed to the region’s evolving art landscape. Working across painting and sculpture, he drew inspiration from everyday Goan life and natural motifs, particularly fish and organic forms. These elements were expressed through fluid lines and a restrained colour palette, creating compositions that conveyed introspection and emotional depth. Morajkar’s artistic language reflected a strong sensitivity to his surroundings and inner experiences, giving his work a distinct regional identity within contemporary art. Though his career was not extensively documented, he participated in several group exhibitions in Goa and elsewhere, contributing to the region’s artistic dialogue.
