K. Rajaiah

K. Rajaiah (1925-2012) was a pioneering artist from Andhra Pradesh, who earned his diploma from the Government School of Art, Hyderabad. His prestigious honors include the National Award from the Lalit Kala Akademi and the Kala Vibhushana from AIFACS, New Delhi. Rajaiah is celebrated for developing an innovative style that serves as a unique visual idiom of the Telangana region, drawing frequent comparisons to the folk art style of Jamini Roy.
